Thanks to all our Service and Supply Members and the sponsors for our major events !

The Klondike Placer Miners' Association is a non-profit advocacy group created by, of and for the placer miners of the Yukon. We were created to promote and protect the interests of the placer mining industry, and we continue to advance this cause on all fronts.

Objective:

  • Promote the interests and conserve the rights of those engaged in the placer mining industry in the Yukon. (Klondike Placer Miners' Constitution & By-laws.)
  • Promote sustainable placer mining and placer exploration in the Yukon.
  • Promote best practices for placer mining.
  • Provide educational information to the public on modern, responsible placer mining and placer exploration.
Activities:

Negotiations with government involving legislation, regulations and policy affecting placer mining are the Association's principal activity. There is currently a high rate of new and amended legislation and regulation in process, all adding to the cost of placer mining. The KPMA continues to promote modern, responsible placer mining with regulations that will allow the industry to continue to be a major economic contributor in Yukon.

The KPMA remains the only credible voice of the placer industry with Government. We need your support and membership to continue our lobbying efforts on behalf of all placer miners.

Placer miners and Yukon business who rely on the mining industry, BE INFORMED, BE INVOLVED, and JOIN US TODAY !
